The Irish DEDIPAC partners are organising a one-day national symposium on Wednesday September 7th, 2016. This meeting will, for the first time, bring together all the Irish DEDIPAC partners to exchange knowledge and disseminate research findings from this joint programming initiative.

DEDIPAC is the first pilot action to contribute to the Determinants of Diet and Physical Activity pillar of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) of the JPI HDHL. The aim is to better understand how biological, ecological, psychological, sociological, economic and socio-economic factors influence consumer decision making and how to translate that knowledge into the development of strategies for effective disease prevention in target populations. Ireland is one of the 12 participating countries in this project.

At this conference, research conducted by the Irish partners on diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour will be presented under the following themes:

  • Measurement of diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour
  • Determinants of diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour
  • Evaluation of public health and policy interventions for diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour

Attendance at this one-day symposium is free of charge however registration is essential. For more information and registration, please click here
