SUSFOOD – the ERA-Net on SUStainable FOOD production and consumption starts into its second phase as ERA-Net Cofund under Horizon2020 with a 5 year runtime from January 2017 onwards. The European network is composed of 26 partners from 15 EU member states and 3 associated partners from Belgium, New Zealand and France, who will continue and strengthen efforts to support research in the field of sustainable food systems from production to consumption.
First action is the launch of a cofunded research and research and innovation call on January 9 th (submission deadline 13.3.2017).
Researchers from academia and/or industry forming projects consortia with at least 3 partners from 3 different SUSFOOD2 countries can apply for 4 topics dealing with innovation in food processing, sustainability of food chains including harmonization of methods and metrics and consumers choices.
