JPI HDHL Governance
The Management Board with representation from the JPI HDHL member countries is responsible for the overall coordination, supervision, implementation and progress of the JPI.
The Steering Committee – consisting of the independent chair, vice chair and two elected MB members – deals with daily and urgent issues on behalf of the MB and is the linking pin between the MB and the secretariat as well as the MB.
The Secretariat serves as the central hub for all of JPI HDHLs activities including development and implementation of strategies and action plans.
The Management Board will request advice from the Scientific Advisory Board and the Stakeholder Advisory Board.
JPI HDHL makes use of EC Research and Innovation Framework partnership instruments, like ERA-NET Cofunds. These have a primary aim to create synergy between funding of the JPI HDHL countries and funding made available by the EC on a specific theme. Furthermore, these instruments create a supporting infrastructure to implement international research funding activities. Next to funding activities with a direct link to Horizon2020, JPI HDHL also has implemented funding activities without such a connect.
