The JPI HDHL has launched in February 2019 “METADIS”, a third call organized under the umbrella of the ERA HDHL-INTIMIC in order to promote collaborative international research on nutrition and health. In agreement with the missions of the ERA-Net, the METADIS call focused on the impact of diet, food components and food processing on body weight regulation and related metabolic diseases. Moreover, each submitted project should present one or more dedicated actions intended to promote the career development of the early career scientists (PhD, Post-doc) involved in the proposed project.

Eleven countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Sweden) and 13 funding agencies has supported this initiative.

39 over the 42 pre-proposals submitted by 2nd April 2019 were considered eligible and were sent to the evaluation by an international panel of scientific experts. Selection of pre-proposals to be admitted to the second step is expected by 28th May.
