Conference for funding bodies in the area of nutrition and health on 28th January 2015 in Switzerland

conferenzaCopyJoint programming is about alignment and coordination of national research activities. Due to the broad scope of the global societal challenge of the JPI HDHL, different national (and regional) funding bodies are involved. By organising a conference for funding bodies in the area of nutrition and health, the JPI HDHL aims to support and strengthen national alignment. The conference will take place at the 28th of January 2015 in Switzerland – participation is on invite only.

EuroDISH - Bringing European infrastructures onto one DISH to optimise food and health research: final project conference, 15 May 2015, at the Expo Milano 2015, Italy

EurodishEuroDISH is a 3-year FP7 project to study the need for food and health research infrastructures in Europe, with the aim to strengthen European research for public health nutrition strategies across Europe. The project will organise its final conference in the pavilion of the EC at the Expo 2015 in Milan (Italy) on 15 May 2015.

Joint Action Biomarkers in Nutrition and Health launches 2 research projects

JPIAt the end of this year, two projects have been launched on the topic of the third Joint Action of the JPI HDHL Biomarkers in Nutrition and Health: MIRDIET and FOODBALL. The projects aim at the validation of biomarkers and the investigation of intake/exposure and nutritional status of biomarkers in the area of nutrition and health.

The first Joint action of JPI HDHL, DEDIPAC will organise an international consensus meeting on the determinants of sedentary behaviour across the life course at ISBNPA 2015

Dr S. Chastin and Prof G. Cardon are organising this meeting on behalf of DEDIPAC as the satellite meeting to ISBNPA 2015 in Glasgow the 8th and 9th of June 2015. The meeting will bring together epidemiologist, psychologist, clinicians, economist, rehabilitation, life, health, behavioural and social scientists to discuss the interaction between biological, psychological, sociological, economic, ecological, and socio-economic factors that determine sedentary behaviour.

JPI HDHL Workshop on Peer review procedures and financial instruments for cross border funding: experiences in the frame of joint activities

The JPI HDHL will organize a workshop on January 28th 2015 in Bern (Switzerland) to evaluate the peer review procedures and the financial instruments for cross border funding adopted in the three joint actions launched in the period 2012-2014.
