Two research consortia encompassing 12 research groups across Europe selected for funding
Joint Call “Food Processing for Health”: Two transnational research consortia including 12 research groups from 7 European countries have been selected for funding under the umbrella of the JPI HDHL Joint Call "Food Processing for Health". Projects will focus on a broad range of research questions, looking at developing innovative or optimizing value-added processing of food substrates (fish, milk, cereals,meat) to produce safe, healthy, high organoleptic quality and sustainable products.
Researchers from Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland and Romania will closely collaborate in these networks. The projects were reviewed by an international expert panel and selected from 12 applications. 7 funding organisations are joining forces to financially support the projects with an envisaged budget of about €2.5 M.
The project proposals below have been recommended for funding by the Peer Review Board and selected for funding by the Call Steering Committee. The final funding decision remains subject to national procedures and decisions.
