Update on JPI HDHL 2014 Joint Actions

The Joint Actions BioNH (a research network on Biomarkers in Nutrition and Health) and ENPADASI (a European Nutritional Phenotype Assessment and Data Sharing Initiative), in the pillars Diet and Food production” and “Diet-related chronic diseases” of the JPI HDHL Strategic Research Agenda are in the final steps for endorsement.

BioNH main objective is to support interdisciplinary research and innovative approaches for the validation of biomarkers and the investigation of intake/exposure and nutritional status of biomarkers within nutrition and health. 20 joint transnational research proposals were submitted by researchers from 13 JPI HDHL member and observer countries. The results of the evaluation by an international and interdisciplinary panel of experts have been discussed by the Steering Committee in a meeting on September 25-26th in Paris. Within ENPADASI, a European trans-disciplinary research network of 51 selected researchers and research consortia from 9 JPI HDHL Members States has submitted a work programme proposal on 1st September 2014. The proposal is under evaluation by an international and interdisciplinary Evaluation Panel of experts and the evaluation results will be discussed in a meeting on the 13th of October 2014 in Bonn.
