Canadian Institutes of Health Research

Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is  Canada's federal funding agency responsible for funding health research in Canada. Composed of 13 virtual institutes, CIHR provides leadership and support to health researchers and trainees across Canada.

CIHRʼs Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes

CIHR-INMD supports research to enhance health in relation to diet, digestion, excretion, and metabolism; and to address causes, prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, support systems, and palliation for a wide range of conditions and problems associated with hormone, digestive system, kidney, and liver function.

Questions surrounding nutrition, metabolism and diabetes transcend all borders. This is reflected in the broad variety of workshops and symposia hosted by INMD that bring together the wide variety of partners, stakeholders and organizations that make up the INMD community.
