EPHA and EUPHA: Do you know what the new European food and agricultural policies mean for health?
The European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) and the European Public Health Association (EUPHA, a member of the JPI HDHL Stakeholder Advisory Board) are organising a Webinar on May 11, as part of European Public Health Week 2020, to explore how health organisations can make use of game changing opportunities prompted by the Corona virus crisis to contribute to further rethink the food systems and add a stronger public health dimension to national food and agricultural policies.
The scope of the webinar on “New opportunities for health in European food and agricultural policies” is to:
- find out more about the new opportunities for public health in the EU "Farm to Fork" strategy and the revised Common agricultural Policy
- discuss with experts about the recommendations for public health in European agricultural policy
- learn how to add a stronger health dimension to your country's national CAP implementation plan

Accompanying the webinar, EPHA-EUPHA have launched a 1-minute survey about the new opportunities for health in EU food and agricultural policies for actors in public health to sample whether health organisations are being consulted in the preparation of national strategic food and agricultural plans and help to make recommendations on how health organisations can be involved in developing these plans at EU and national level, to ensure better health for everyone.
