National Research and Development Institute for Food Bioresources (IBA)
The National Research and Development Institute for Food Bioresources – IBA Bucharest operates as a public research entity under the coordination of the Ministry of Research and Innovation. Focused on four strategic areas – food safety, nutrition, consumer behavior, and food (Bio)technologies – the institute is committed to advancing knowledge in these crucial domains.
The research activities are conducted across nine laboratories, three pilot experimental stations, and two specialized departments dedicated to support actions and long-life learning initiatives. Additionally, the institute benefits from the support of the Marketing-Commercial department and the Technological Information Center, contributing to the overall effectiveness of its research endeavors.
