HDHL would like to announce several changes in the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). - The steering committee consists of the Management Board (MB) independent chair, vice chair and elected MB members. It deals with daily and urgent issues on behalf of the MB and is the linking pin between the MB and the secretariat as well as the MB.

On 5-7 November 2024, Brussels hosted two important events that explored the complex intersection of science and policy in agriculture and the environment. The Living Labs Workshop and the Ghent Group Annual Meeting both underscored the importance of science-based advice in addressing the major dilemmas facing policymakers today. - Low or imbalanced dietary and biomarker status of folate and interrelated B-vitamins (methyl donor nutrients) perturb 1-carbon metabolism, and adversely affect brain development in early life and brain function in later life.
