Six proposals are selected for funding under the recent NUTRIMMUNE call, receiving a total of € 5,9 million of funding. The projects to be funded by this call will help to better understand the interactions between nutrition and immunity within the context of its interplay between infectious diseases and diet-related metabolic diseases. - Healthy Diet, Healthy Life (HDHL) brings together countries to address key societal challenges at the intersection of food, nutrition and health. HDHL is uniquely positioned to provide expert advice, align funding for inter- and transdisciplinary research, and connect stakeholders to translate knowledge into policy and practice.

After an intensive and collaborative process involving the Management Board, Advisory Board, and our wider network, HDHL is proud to launch its renewed vision, mission, and visual identity . This marks an important moment in our evolution as a European initiative working at the intersection of food, nutrition, and health. - Addressing adverse and beneficial effects of food ingredients and food processing on hypersensitivities to food (FOOD_HYPERSENS) In February 2021, the JPI HDHL launched FOOD_HYPERSENS, the 6th call organised under the umbrella of ERA-Net ERA-HDHL to promote collaborative international research on nutrition and health.

For the Malnutrition Awareness Week 2025, HDHL highlights the SO-NUTS project, funded under the PREPHOBES Call in 2020. The project “Preventing obesity, sarcopenia, and Sarcopenic Obesity in retirement – digital personalized interventions for healthy NUTrition and physical activity for Seniors (SO-NUTS)” ran from April 2021 to March 2025. - Image

HDHL-INTIMIC was the second ERA-NET Cofund of JPI HDHL and launched its first call in 2017: Interrelation of the Intestinal Microbiome, Diet and Health. The call was funded by the EC and 8 countries.
