JPI HDHL is pleased to launch a new joint funding activity “Nutrition-responsiveness of the immune system: interplay between infectious diseases and diet-related metabolic diseases and the potential for food-based solutions (NUTRIMMUNE)”. - In January 2017, the first joint funding action of the ERA-Net Cofund “Interrelation of the INtesTInal MICrobiome, Diet and Health” (HDHL-INTIMIC) was launched by nine countries. Projects started in the beginning of 2018 and run for three years.

The HDHL Food4Health project brings together leading European organisations to address the intertwined challenges of food- and diet-related Non-Communicable Diseases and Climate Change, by fostering collaboration and aligning research efforts across food, health, and environment areas. - The Healthy Diet, Healthy Life (HDHL) Early Career Network is a dynamic community of early career researchers in nutrition, physical activity, and health. It promotes research skills, fosters collaboration, and offers networking opportunities through online activities and resource sharing.

Six proposals are selected for funding under the recent NUTRIMMUNE call, receiving a total of € 5,9 million of funding. The projects to be funded by this call will help to better understand the interactions between nutrition and immunity within the context of its interplay between infectious diseases and diet-related metabolic diseases. - Healthy Diet, Healthy Life (HDHL) brings together countries to address key societal challenges at the intersection of food, nutrition and health. HDHL is uniquely positioned to provide expert advice, align funding for inter- and transdisciplinary research, and connect stakeholders to translate knowledge into policy and practice.
