Gut microbiota affects health and type 2 diabetes (T2D). Diet shapes these microbes, and gut-derived metabolites may be altered in T2D based on intake. The funded projects MiRDiet and FOODBALL stared in December 2014 and ended respectively in December 2017 and July 2018.
