- ZonMw coordinates HDHL Food4Health, ensuring smooth management, communication and alignment with the European Commission, relevant Horizon Europe Partnerships and Member State funders. On Monday, November 27th, the Joint Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE-JPI) and Healthy Diet, Healthy Life (HDHL) organised a joint workshop on vertical and horizontal coherence for sustainable food systems. In 2019, JPI HDHL and its ERA-Net HDHL-INTIMIC organized a call for research projects aimed at better understanding the impact of diet, food components, and food processing on body weight regulation and metabolic diseases related to overweight. The results of the funded projects were presented during a final symposium held on December 5th. - Image
As part of the CLEVERFOOD project, HDHL will organise a session at Terra Madre 2026: "From dialogue to policy and action: co-designing the story and format of healthy and sustainable food policy insights" - HDHL-INTIMIC (INtesTInal MICrobiomics) aims to coordinate national and regional programmes in the area of diet, intestinal microbiomics and health as well as nutrition and health in general, thereby contributing to the implementation of Healthy Diet, Healthy Life (HDHL) objectives.

Maternal and infant diets have long-term health effects, including obesity, allergies, and metabolic disorders. However, the exact molecular and cellular mechanisms through which dietary metabolites and contaminants impact health remain unclear. - Biomarkers for Nutrition and Health (co-funded call) In February 2016, 14 countries launched the first ERA-HDHL Cofunded joint call for funding multilateral research projects on “Biomarkers for nutrition and health”. This Joint Action funded 12 projects that started in the beginning of 2017 for about 3 years.
