FOODPathS: Towards a new EU partnership to co-create and co-fund research & innovation activities that make our food systems sustainable.- Biomarkers for Nutrition and Health In April 2014 the Joint Programming Initiative ‘A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life’ (JPI HDHL) launched a transnational call for research proposals on Biomarkers in Nutrition and Health (BioNH). The funded projects MiRDiet and FOODBALL stared in December 2014 and ended respectively in December 2017 and July 2018.
The intestinal microbiome project results were presented during the Healthy Microbiome Symposium in May 2022, at the Medical University of Vienna. HDHL asked Jildau Bouwman, coordinator of the Knowledge Platform, to reflect on the symposium and the future of microbiome research.
For the four funded projects under the umbrella of the HDHL-INTIMIC call ‘PREPHOBES’, the first half of their runtime has almost passed. Hence the coordinators are preparing to present the current status of their projects at the PREPHOBES mid-term meeting that will be held on September 22 in Brussels.
