On Europe Day 2025, Ignalina, Lithuania, hosted a CLEVERFOOD Policy Dialogue exploring the future of sustainable food. HDHL-INTIMIC was the second ERA-NET Cofund of JPI HDHL and launched its first call in 2017: Interrelation of the Intestinal Microbiome, Diet and Health. The call was funded by the EC and 8 countries. Supporting 11 research projects, the initiative concluded in December 2022, yielding significant new insights into how nutrition impacts health. - Image
JPI HDHL is pleased to pre-announce the launch of a fifth additional non-cofunded joint activity under the umbrella of ERA-HDHL: “Addressing adverse and beneficial effects of food ingredients and food processing on hypersensitivities to food” (FOOD_HYPERSENS). Le launch of the call is expected on February 2nd, 2021. - HDHL Food4Health produces a range of outputs that support coordination, joint programming, evidence uptake and impact assessment across food, health and environmental domains. Westernization in Africa increases diabetes and CVD risk. While inflammation is a known driver, gaps remain in understanding how diet and gut microbiota influence immune function. This shift highlights the need to study how lifestyle impacts microbiome-immunity links. - HDHL aims to enhance dietary quality sustainably, drawing from insights in food, nutrition, and health sciences. The goal is to provide evidence-based recommendations and innovative food product formats, coupled with addressing sedentary behavior.
