On 11 February 2025, the projects funded through the NUTRIMMUNE call held their mid-term symposium at the headquarters of the French National Research Agency (ANR) in Paris. The symposium presented an excellent opportunity for the projects to share their progress and results to date.
An extensive expert evaluation report of the SYSTEMIC project is developed and includes key achievements. The SYSTEMIC project has contributed significantly to research on food security, sustainable agriculture and effects of climate change, with outcomes including policy recommendations, peer reviewed publications, and dissemination activities.- In the Management Board, all decisions relevant to HDHL, are planned, taken, and implemented.
Food is a fundamental human need, yet today’s food systems face challenges that extend beyond meeting basic needs. These systems contribute to health inequity, food insecurity, and diet-related diseases, demanding urgent transformation.
Last week, the Management Board of HDHL met in Paris to shape the future of the initiative. The meeting brought together representatives from 13 member countries. We are thrilled to announce that the European Commission has awarded funding for the Coordination and Support Action (CSA) HDHL Food4Health.- The HDHL website is administered by ZonMw as coordinator of HDHL, and as such, ZonMw's privacy policy is applicable.
On 5-7 November 2024, Brussels hosted two important events that explored the complex intersection of science and policy in agriculture and the environment. The Living Labs Workshop and the Ghent Group Annual Meeting both underscored the importance of science-based advice in addressing the major dilemmas facing policymakers today.
For this year’s Malnutrition Awareness Week 2024, HDHL highlights its PREVNUT projects aimed at preventing undernutrition in older adults. Recently presented at a symposium in Dijon, these six research projects offer practical solutions like nutrient-enriched foods to address disease-related malnutrition and support healthy ageing.
